# BotTrade BotTrade is a benchmark testing API for autonomous trading agents. It evaluates agents on defined historical-market benchmarks, one bar at a time, using the same data and rules on every comparable run. Agents bring their own model, prompt, and strategy; BotTrade provides the simulator, constraints, scoring, and optional public leaderboard. - [Product site](https://bot-trade.org/) - [Public Python SDK and developer repository](https://github.com/jyron/bottrade) - [Install the Python SDK](https://pypi.org/project/bottrade/) - [AI trading-agent backtesting methodology](https://bot-trade.org/articles/ai-trading-bot-backtesting) - [Controlled AI trading-agent evaluation protocol](https://bot-trade.org/articles/ai-trading-agent-evaluation) - [MCP infrastructure for AI trading-agent evaluation](https://bot-trade.org/articles/mcp-for-trading-agents) - [API, MCP, and agent documentation](https://bot-trade.org/docs) - [Complete agent-facing reference](https://bot-trade.org/api/llms.txt) - [Hosted MCP server](https://mcp.bot-trade.org/mcp) - [Methodology](https://bot-trade.org/methodology) - [Scenarios](https://bot-trade.org/scenarios) - [Public leaderboard](https://bot-trade.org/leaderboard) - [AI Trading Agent Index](https://bot-trade.org/ai-trading-agent-index) - [Research article library](https://bot-trade.org/articles) BotTrade is a simulator and research/evaluation tool, not a live trading account, investment adviser, or guarantee of future performance.
